The Amravati – Tarsod Project, officially designated as the Amravati – Tarsod Section, is a major highway infrastructure development located in the state of Maharashtra. Developed along the vital NH-53 (Old NH-06) national highway corridor, this extensive roadway is constructed with a Four-Lane with Paved Shoulder configuration. The entire project spans a substantial total length of 256.700 kilometers. The specific stretch of this highway connects major regional hubs, running from Km 166+725 (End of Amravati Bypass) to Km 422+700 (Start of Jalgaon Bypass). Operationally, the project is managed under the contract mode of HAM Assets under an InvIT Portfolio.
To maintain high operational standards and seamless traffic management, the project highway is divided into five homogeneous sections. These specialized segments consist of the Amravati–Kurankhed, Kurankhed–Shelad, Shelad–Nandura, Nandura–Chikhli, and Chikhli–Tarsod stretches. This structured breakdown allows for optimized regional logistics, safer travel conditions, and efficient maintenance across the massive 256-kilometer expanse.
To facilitate organized traffic flow and steady transit processing across this busy commercial corridor, a robust toll plaza network is integrated along the route. Toll operations are distributed across four strategically positioned locations:
Kurankhed Toll Plaza situated at chainage Km 218.750
Taroda Kasba Toll Plaza situated at chainage Km 280.642
Dasarkhed Toll Plaza situated at chainage Km 356.542
Nashirabad Toll Plaza situated at chainage Km 415.980
