The Gandhidham (Kandla) – Mundra Port Project, officially designated as the Gandhidham (Kandla) – Mundra Port Section, is a vital infrastructure development located in the state of Gujarat. Developed along the essential NH-41 (formerly NH-8A/41) corridor, this roadway features a high-capacity Four-Lane Highway configuration. The entire project spans a total length of 71.400 kilometers, a distance that explicitly includes an 8.730 Km Anjar Bypass designed to route heavy transit around local traffic bottleneck zones.
Strategically, the project corridor connects Gandhidham directly with Mundra and serves as a critical freight transportation artery. It provides high-efficiency roadway connectivity to Mundra Port and Kandla Port, which are two of the most significant and highest-volume maritime trade hubs in western India. By streamlining the overland link between these ports and industrial networks, the highway acts as a backbone for regional and national logistics.
To ensure smooth operations and steady vehicle processing along this heavily commercialized route, the infrastructure integrates a dedicated tolling system. The project relies on a single operational toll facility, the Mokha Toll Plaza. It is strategically positioned along the stretch at chainage Km 44+500 near Mokha Village to seamlessly manage the intense daily flow of industrial freight and passenger traffic.
