The Raipur – Simga Project, officially designated as the Raipur-Simga Section, is a key highway infrastructure development located in the state of Chhattisgarh. Developed along the NH-30 national highway corridor, this roadway is constructed with a high-capacity Four-Lane Highway configuration. The entire project stretch spans a total length of 48.445 kilometers, creating a highly efficient transit link that directly connects Raipur in the south to Simga in the north.
Strategically, this project corridor forms an essential part of an important national highway network that links central India with various regions of Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh. The route serves as a major logistical spine; beyond Simga, the NH-30 corridor bifurcates towards Jabalpur in the north. Moving in the opposite direction, the corridor extends southwards through Jagdalpur, Sukma, Bhadrachalam, and Kothagudem before ultimately terminating at Vijayawada, which significantly boosts long-distance trade and passenger transit across multiple states.
To maintain steady traffic management and ensure efficient vehicle processing along this busy four-lane corridor, the project integrates dedicated toll plaza infrastructure. Toll operations are centrally processed at the Tarapongi Toll Plaza. This facility is strategically positioned to handle regional commuters, heavy commercial carriers, and inter-state freight transit smoothly, minimizing transit delays across the route.
