The Gundugolanu – Chinna Avutapalli Project, officially designated as the Gundugolanu – Chinna Avutapalli Section, is an important highway infrastructure development located in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Developed along the high-traffic NH-16 corridor, this roadway is engineered to a modern Six-Lane with Paved Shoulder configuration. The entire project spans a total length of 54.384 kilometers, covering a specific stretch that begins at Km 1023+496 in Gundugolanu and extends to Km 1076+280 in Chinna Avutapalli.

Strategically, this section functions as a vital link within the overarching NH-16 Corridor, seamlessly connecting the economically active regions of coastal Andhra Pradesh. The infrastructure layout explicitly includes the Hanuman Junction Bypass, which assists in routing long-distance transit away from localized congestion. Due to its geographic positioning, it serves as an indispensable transport artery, carrying a substantial volume of both inter-state commercial freight and regional passenger traffic.

To ensure efficient traffic management and steady processing along this highway, the corridor integrates a dedicated tolling framework. The project features exactly one operational toll facility, namely the Kalaparru Toll Plaza. This plaza is strategically situated at chainage Km 1052.763, providing streamlined vehicle processing for all commuters and commercial carriers traversing the route.
