The Gundugolanu – Devarapalli – Kovvuru Project, officially designated as the Gundugolanu – Devarapalli – Kovvuru Section, is a key highway infrastructure asset located in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Developed along the high-traffic NH-16 national highway corridor, this roadway is constructed with a Four-Lane Highway configuration. The entire project stretch spans a total length of 69.884 kilometers. The alignment specifically commences at Km 15.320 near Gundugolanu and terminates at Km 85.204 near Kovvuru.
Administratively, this major road corridor falls under the jurisdiction of the Eluru and East Godavari Districts. Serving as a vital regional transportation spine, the highway passes through several important settlements, including Kovvuru, Pangidi, Devarapalli, Veerampalem, Pullalapadu, Avapadu, Hanumanlagudem, and Gundugolanu. The expansion of this corridor heavily supports regional socio-economic growth by streamlining transit times and upgrading safety standards for long-distance commuters and freight carriers.
A dedicated tolling framework is integrated into the route to maintain steady traffic management and efficient vehicle processing. Toll collection along this section is centrally managed at the operational Veeravalli Toll Plaza. This facility is designed to handle continuous traffic volumes smoothly, minimizing transit delays across the four-lane highway corridor.
