The TN/AP Border – Nalagampalli – AP/Karnataka Border Project, officially designated as the TN/AP Border – Nalagampalli – AP/Karnataka Border Section, is a major highway infrastructure development located in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Developed along the NH-140 national highway corridor (which forms part of the larger NH-69 Corridor), this route is constructed with a high-capacity Four-Lane Highway configuration. The entire project spans a total length of 84.797 kilometers and extends all the way from the Andhra Pradesh–Tamil Nadu Border to the Andhra Pradesh–Karnataka Border via Nalagampalli Village.

To ensure efficient construction management and execution, the highway layout is divided into two distinct operational packages:

1. Package-I: Covers the AP/TN Border to Nalagampalli Village Section, spanning from existing Km 133.360 to Km 171.500 with a Design Chainage of Km 134.890 to Km 172.000.

2. Package-II: Connects the Nalagampalli Village to AP/Karnataka Border Section, running from existing Km 171.500 to Km 216.912 with a Design Chainage of Km 172.000 to Km 219.687.

Strategically, the corridor serves as an essential interstate connectivity link that seamlessly bridges transportation networks across three states: Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. This major logistics axis successfully optimizes long-distance commercial freight movement and passenger transit. To maintain structured traffic flow and handle vehicle processing effectively across this interstate alignment, the project includes the operational Mahasamudram Toll Plaza as its central toll infrastructure.
